Dollhouses

Our houses are individually hand crafted in the style of Tudor, Medieval and Gothic revival buildings found throughout England. In their detail they reflect the craftsmanship and highlight the architectural features of the time. The houses are not simply copies of existing buildings but bring to the fore architectural details including timber pattern, barge boards, Oriel windows and chimneys which can all be found on existing houses, cottages and great halls of the period.

Houses can be ordered in 1/12, 1/24 and 1/48 scales and individual commissions can be undertaken upon request.

Temple Hall

A Tudor House, with a large hall on the right hand side, and a cobbled undercroft underneath which would traditionally have been used as a market area.  A stone wall at the rear of the undercroft has a Gothic doorway and window to add interest and provide a vista to the properties beyond.

The Great Hall above contains a typical red Tudor wall of the period with grand fireplace in the centre. Candles flicker on the beamed walls creating the period ambience.

A door leads from the Great Hall into the first floor parlour which is beamed with a stone fireplace and wooden floorboards.  Stairs to the left of the fireplace lead to a bedroom which has panelling and a recessed prayer area.   An archway from the parlour leads down to the kitchen on the ground floor which has stone flooring and an inglenook fireplace.

The interior is completed by flickering candles and fires throughout.

The exterior is beautifully detailed with Oriel windows to the Great Hall and leaded light windows throughout plus traditional external timbers on all sides which show the traditional construction of a building of this era.  The house and Grand Hall are completed by a rustic roof with tall Tudor chimneys, intricate barge boards and decorated finials.
